Pack, take away half, then take away another half, then pack and go. Trust me, you and your back will thank me later. Less is more when packing everything into one bag. plus the less you pack the more room you have for souvenirs!. I had an amazing backpack, picking the right bag is really important. The bag is going to be your whole life for how ever long you are Traveling for. The backpack being big enough and it fitting your body type is very important. I took an Osprey 70L Farpoint, it worked perfect for me. It had many features i loved about it, Hip belt, detachable day pack, panel access, stowaway back panel, front compression straps, padded handles, big mesh pocket and for most airlines it is carry on approved size!. There are so many different kinds of bags and you need to take your time and find one that works for what you want and best for your body type.

I definitely packed too much and I learned about it 2 weeks in. You are going to over pack on your first trip and that is okay. we all learn from our own mistakes. My next trip I will defiantly take my word and PACK LESS.
